Melksham Food & River Festival

Come to the King George V Park Melksham, on September 2nd and 3rd from 10:30am for a free entry weekend of delicious food and watery activities.
Attractions on Saturday include the Wiltshire Outdoor Learning Team’s climbing wall, the Cooper Tires’ Wire Challenge, hot food stalls, soft drinks, and children’s activities. The Foxhangers Raft Race has medals and a cash prize, and there will be boat trips both days. As well as the beer tent, there will be cooking demonstrations, local duo the Decibelles and the Military Wives Choir in the Leekes Country Kitchen Marquee; at dusk there will be an illuminated cruise by visiting boats – although this will depend on the weather.
Sunday is the main food and drinks day with 80 stalls now booked, the Chilli Eating Competition, and Bewley and Merrett will hold a memorial balloon release.
Visit the website www.melkshamfoodandriverfestival.co.uk as updates are constantly added.
Both days will feature boat trips, including on the wheelyboat The Mary Archard, which is totally accessible.
The Festival Programme is available from Melksham TIC, plus all information, prices, rules and entry forms, are on the website: www.melkshamfoodandriverfestival.co.uk
